Still miserable but I don't want to complain about it because there's nothing more annoying than listening to someone complain about something when it's obvious that they're just lazy. Just talking about not talking about it makes me kinda ill. I got to hang out with Krista on Saturday, and we watched Sideways which I still enjoyed on this second seating. The theatre was inexplicably crowded, a phenomenon I've never witnessed before at the Cumberland. This resulted in sitting two rows from the screen which was not bad at all, much to my surprise. We also ate yummy food at JustThai (before the movie). I had the chicken coconut soup and the classic pad thai. It's what I always get, and thus I'm almost always happy. It's hard to mess up pad thai. OH and I had one of those Starbucks chai teas, which was also really yummy. But I still STILL can't stand their STUPID naming conventions. "Venti"? "Grande"? I would almost always want to smack the "barista" upside the head if they weren't young friendly women. The term "chai tea" also makes me grind my teeth mentally. Sunday was the fam and a birthday dinner. Sister got me, among other gifts, one of those 2" Qee toys (Series 5A). I like the fact that you don't know which one you get in the box, whether a common or rare. I'm all about the randomness. I really am getting tired of writing for hwan.com. Sometimes I wish I had a clone. Oh here's something I remembered -- I was thinking of getting one of those easyPay tags so that paying for gas would be quick and easy. Of course, not too long afterwards a gas attendant charges me with someone else's gas! Not too attendant at all. Partially my fault -- I didn't check the receipt I was signing as I was distracted by his mini TV which was playing a movie with barbarians and elephants. OH.. dangerman and girl got me a DVD burner (for Christmas), so now I can watch all my old DVDs again. Not a very productive time in my life, no. Plus, I've been considering getting a force-feedback wheel so that I can beat Colin McCrae 2005. I am getting a lot of reading done, though. Currently going through Post Captain and The Chrysalids, and recently finished The Minority Report (PKD's original short story) and Mostly Harmless. I was really disappointed by that one; it had much of the potential (in my mind) to be just as good as any of the other Hitchhiker's, but seemed to lack... well, the ending just sucked and was rather abrupt. I was just beginning to enjoy where things were heading and then the end. The Minority Report was way cool though, much more interesting than the movie and I thought the movie was pretty good. But yeah, really enjoying The Chrysalids.
