My goal for this stair-climb is to a) make it to the top without embarassment (ie throwing up or falling) and b) be able to drag myself to Ruth's wedding afterwards. Heh, it could be a funny CYE-ism if I show up but am unable to stand for prayers/toasts etc. Ha.

I watched the Leaf game last night... perhaps the second game I've seen in its entirety this season. I'm still a fan, and I'll be happy if they win, but I just can't bear witnessing their losses anymore. They are just too good at goofing up play-off games. Well, last night's lost in Philadelphia wasn't so bad, I guess -- the buds were outplayed in every aspect but they managed to keep the game pretty close overall. All the Leafs need to do is apply themselves for four of the next six games. They've got a playoff-calibre goalie; now they need some playoff-calibre moxie.

2010/05/21 Hwan I recall trying earplugs well back in my undergrad years, to mixed results. My sleep was troubled by feelings of claustrophobia. I also have a, perhaps unfounded, fear of not hearing the essential alarm in the mornings. However, I may give these another go, thanks.
2010/05/21 llamatron Have you tried sleeping with earplugs? My flat faces out onto a main road, so I've started using the standard foam plugs. It took a few nights to get used to them, but they make a big difference.
