Huzzah huzzah! I gots me passport, yes precious! I look like an escaped convict, thanks to that no-smiling policy we have now for passport photos. Picking it up was a fairly quick, no-hassle deal, unlike the process involved in applying for one. So, I'm all set to invade the caribbean. I actually had trouble sleeping last night -- I guess I'm vaguely excited about this trip. I woke up dreaming that I was wearing my suit (we need to bring formal wear on the ship) while riding my bicycle. I will miss my VGA Planets game though.. we're at a very neat bit where I'm trying to steal other players' ships. Hehehe!

Oh, what got me started about androids was catching a bit of Westworld on TV the other night. Immersive amusement park goes haywire -- when will people learn?

Is anyone checking out links.hwan.com? Just because I haven't mentioned it in a while doesn't mean I haven't updated it -- I've put some really fun bits on. I especially love the hamster + MIDI thing. An idea after my own heart.

2010/05/21 Hwan I recall trying earplugs well back in my undergrad years, to mixed results. My sleep was troubled by feelings of claustrophobia. I also have a, perhaps unfounded, fear of not hearing the essential alarm in the mornings. However, I may give these another go, thanks.
2010/05/21 llamatron Have you tried sleeping with earplugs? My flat faces out onto a main road, so I've started using the standard foam plugs. It took a few nights to get used to them, but they make a big difference.
